I. The Roots of Rebellion: A King with a Conscience Born in 1886 into the royal house of Mursan, Mahendra Pratap’s early life was a whirlwind of privilege and intellectual awakening. While most royals were being groomed to be "Brown Sahibs," Pratap was an outlier. His education at MAO College (now Aligarh Muslim University) was pivotal.
